The creative laboratory is a space in which children, teenagers, adults can experience artistic materials so that they become the language through which each person can communicate his emotional, physical, relational, social and psychological state.
The artistic language thus becomes a way to talk about itself and discover new resources, promoting the development of creativity.
It is a path of prevention, care and support, which leads to clarifying personal emotional states, which in particular situations can also be pathological; In fact, embarking on a path of this type can be a valid tool to deal with situations of physical or mental malaise, relational problems, moments of change, loss or more simply to enhance self -esteem, increase awareness and sensitivity towards oneself and towards others, thus improving one's individual well -being and finding confidence in itself.
The purpose of the creative laboratory is not the quality of the artistic product, let alone that of discovering talents or aiming for the exposure of the works, but approaching the inner experience that this product facilitates.
The art therapist accompanies the user on this path, acting as an indispensable support, with psychological and artistic skills. The specialist takes care of the person through images, creativity and imagination expressed by the user to facilitate him in the expression and elaboration of his inner world. In fact, between a meeting and the next, he collects what is expressed by the user and makes a detailed analysis through the decoding of visual art, with the aim of promoting artistic production, conveying thoughts and emotions so that they become communicable symbols. With the support of the art therapist, the person is guided to understand his artistic experience and to give it meaning.

The creative laboratory can be carried out individually or in a small group, this last way is of help to learn to be with peers and relate to them, sharing the materials and the atelier.
